    It's_a_little_odd_to_start_a_website-dedicated_to_surfers,_and_surf_travel- in_Denver._Colorado._In_the_middle_of_winter.

    Don’t judge us. We can explain.

    Ian (co-conspirator here at shacked) and I went to college together in Boulder, Colorado. When I returned to school after a family-style winter break, I bumped into some friends who were eager to catch up and fill me in on what’s been going on. They told me some blonde haired guy from L.A. had moved in next to me. All he would talk about was surfing.

    I grew up in New Jersey, chop-hopping through summer, and waiting for those magic fall hurricanes to wake up the Atlantic. The whole time I had yearned for the California I saw in magazines, in it’s gauzy, backlit perfection. Maybe this guy knew about the mystery - I had to meet him immediately.
